About UPSDMA
Uttar Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (UPSDMA) is the apex body responsible for disaster preparedness, risk reduction, and emergency response in the state.
Functioning under the Department of Relief and Disaster Management, Government of Uttar Pradesh, UPSDMA plays a crucial role in ensuring a proactive and coordinated approach to disaster management.
With a focus on disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery, UPSDMA works to minimize the impact of natural and human-induced disasters such as floods, cyclones, heatwaves, droughts, earthquakes, industrial accidents, and pandemics. The authority collaborates with various government agencies, district administrations, scientific institutions, and community-based organizations to implement policies and programs aimed at building disaster resilience across the state.
